This dataset contains the audit outcomes of South Africa's municipalities from the SA Auditor General's annual Local Government Audit Outcomes reports for the financial years starting 2010/2011 to 2024/2025. The finding are, from best to worst: Unqualified with no findings, Unqualified with findings, Qualified, Adverse, Disclaimed. This dataset is updated annually when a new audit report is made public. This data set was created by The Outlier by combining by-election data with Municipal Demarcation Board data on the number of wards
